About the Experienced Executives grant

Having the right people is a crucial step in taking a good idea and making it a commercial success. Experienced Executives assistance provides small innovative companies and entrepreneurs with the opportunity to employ an experienced Chief Executive Officer and/or other senior executive talent with the right skills to successfully take a new product, process or service to market.

Funding

• Funding Amount - Up to $350,000 (up to $175,000 per year) is available for participants 
• Minimum Contribution - Participants are required to match the grant funding on an 50:50 basis, where the participant funds 50% of the costs (eg: $50,000 from the participant and $50,000 from Commercialisation Australia)
• Project Length – Participants have 24 months to complete their project

Resources

Commercialisation Australia support offers more than just money:

• Case Managers - All participants work with a Case Manager.   Commercialisation Australia Case Managers are experienced business builders and entrepreneurs who understand the challenges of commercialising new IP and who can add value to your commercialisation and business activities.  They can also assist you in preparing your application.  For more information go to the Case Manager section of this website
• Volunteer Business Mentors - Making the right business connections is important.  Participants may be matched to experienced business mentors who are able to provide useful insights and introductions.  For more information go to the Volunteer Business Mentors section of this website

What activities are funded?

Experienced Executives assistance will fund activities such as:

• Employment - of an experienced Chief Executive Officer or other senior executives
• Salary and packaged components plus 30% labour on-costs and 30% admin on-costs; OR
• Contractor fees plus 20% admin on-costs
