Helicopter Emergency Release Operator (HERO) is a life-saving device that will significantly improve the survival prospects for helicopter occupants/passengers in the event of a crash into the sea. HERO automatically releases the occupant from their harness, effectively reducing the time taken for occupants to extricate themselves from a sinking helicopter.
