Millispot

Millispot is a functional porous polymer medium for the storage of dried blood spots (DBS) that is an alternative to conventional paper based media. The benefits of Millispot over paper are improved accuracy of analyses and simpler, more reliable customer workflows. These are projected to enable the pharmaceutical industry to realise the full range of potential benefits of DBS technology over traditional wet blood techniques, which include less invasive sampling and easier transportation.  With Commercialisation Australia funding, the aim is to refine the manufacturing elements of the business plan to bring the technology to market.
