With support from Commercialisation Australia, Simmersion Holdings has taken Mycosm® to markets in Australia and overseas.  Resulting from more than three years of R&D, Mycosm® is a unique platform for constructing real-time, high fidelity, 3D visualisation/simulation environments. 

Since the award of the grant the company has seen customer adoption from Australia, the US and Europe. “Feedback from our early customers is very positive” said Bob Quodling, Simmersion CEO.  “A global multi-national used  Mycosm to show-case their building and energy management systems. They constructed a virtual hotel within Mycosm® which provided the user with the ability to interact with the environment in real-time”.

The National Arboretum Canberra used Mycosm® to visualise what the site will look like when all of the plantations have matured (pictured below).  “Visualisation is critical for our customers to showcase an environment for their stakeholders. Being able to see and interact with a virtual environment is invaluable for marketing, scenario planning and training” said Jeff Cotter, Co-Founder and CTO of Simmersion.

A leading US training and simulation company engaged Simmersion to produce a number of simulated disaster scenarios using Mycosm®. These bush fire, flood and storm simulations are being used for a large European financial services company (pictured below).
