Commercialisation of a novel skincare product line
CIMTECH is a natural products development company focused on translating traditional medicines of the Cook Islands to bring new pharmaceutical, dermatological and natural beauty products to market. The company was founded in 2008 by Dr Graham Matheson after five years of extensive research conducted at the University of New South Wales, Australia into the medical benefits of a specific, extensively-used, traditional plant-based remedy. Using the tools of evidence-based medicine, Dr Matheson's research data combined with clinical observations highlighted the potential for indigenous natural products to revolutionise the science and medicine of bone fractures, skin rejuvenation and wound healing.

With Commercialisation Australia’s support through the Experienced Executive grant, CIMTECH has engaged Dr Corinna Steeb to manage its skincare division. Dr Steeb has extensive experience in the cosmetics industry and will be crucial in driving CIMTECH’s skincare product to market.
