The annual market for artificial dentures exceeds 20 million denture sets, and this number is rising due to ageing populations and increasing life expectancy. However, the traditional processes used worldwide for design, fabrication and fitting of artificial dentures are inherently inefficient, costly and time consuming for practitioner and patients. Melbourne-based dental prosthetics technology company, Accentu8 Novotecnica, has developed a paradigm shift in the denture process. Standard dental arches, pre-assembled with artificial teeth, may be custom-fitted and precisely aligned using the patient's natural physiology, with significant cost and time savings.

Funding from Commercialisation Australia will help Accentu8 Novotecnica develop a sound international commercialisation plan and validate the performance of this new process with clinicians in Australia and overseas.
