On 5 December Innovation Minister, Senator Kim Carr, announced Commercialisation Australia funding for an innovation that will deliver real time speech captioning to laptops, tablets, iPads and other web-enabled devices.
The technology, known as Ai-Live, allows live speech to be streamed as text in seconds and people with hearing impairments could benefit greatly.
The Sydney-based company Ai-Media received a grant of more than $1.7 million to help commercialise the system. The link to the media release is available
