Stephen has experience in research and development, has been responsible for the commercialisation of various technologies and has core skills in project management and technical business strategies. He is an author in 12 patents and is an expert on mass spectrometry and related instrumentation, and has a wide range of experience in managing development of sensing and analytical equipment.

He has been a director and managing director of numerous successful start-up companies as well as managing research and development and manufacturing operations in large multinational companies. He holds a Bachelor of Science (First Class Honours) and a Doctor of Philosophy.
